Services

Three stages. One philosophy.

AI-readiness is a foundations problem, not a tooling problem. Which stage you're at decides the work — so the first thing we do is name it honestly.

Foundation

0 → 1 · No data function yet

For startups that have outgrown spreadsheets but have no data function yet.

I build the pipelines, warehouse, and reporting layer — modelled to last, not thrown together — using dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and modern open-source tooling.

Platform Maturity

Platform under strain

For scale-ups whose data platform exists but is fragile, untrusted, or can't keep up with growth.

I fix governance, reliability, and ownership so it survives rapid scale instead of collapsing under it.

AI-Readiness

AI mandate, unclear ground

For companies with a solid platform and an AI mandate from leadership.

I make the data structured, governed, and trustworthy enough for an LLM or agent to safely act on — semantic layers, data contracts, access controls.

How it works

Embedded in your team, not advising from a distance.

Engagement

Staff augmentation at staff-plus level. I embed in your team — stand-ups, code reviews, stakeholder meetings — and either lead the initiative end to end or add senior capacity to one your team already owns.

Pricing

Hourly, billed monthly against logged hours. The rate depends on allocation and whether the work is remote or on-site. You get the rate in writing after the discovery call.

Duration

Most engagements run three to nine months at part-time or full-time allocation. Hours scale up or down as your needs change — no fixed scope to renegotiate.

Questions

Who do you usually work with?

Primarily early- and mid-stage startups, scale-ups, and SMEs that need to put real data foundations in place, mature a platform that's outgrown its original build, or get their stack genuinely ready for AI. I also take on focused modernisation projects with established companies in financial services, insurance, healthcare, and mobility.

Do you work remotely or in person?

Both. I work remotely with clients across North America and Europe — with a particular focus on Germany and Munich, where I studied and previously worked — and in person in Montréal, where I'm based. On-site visits at kick-off or for key workshops can be arranged elsewhere when they add real value.

How does pricing work?

Hourly, billed monthly against logged hours — the same way you'd bring on a staff-plus hire, without the headcount. The rate depends on allocation and whether the work is remote or on-site. You commit to an allocation, not a fixed scope, so priorities can shift as we learn without renegotiating a contract.

How does a first conversation start?

Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute discovery call. We look at where you are, and I tell you honestly which stage you're at and what the highest-leverage fix would be — before either of us commits to anything.

Not sure which stage you're at?

That's the first thing we figure out. Thirty minutes, no commitment.
